ABOUT

STEPH GOSS BOTANICAL ARTIST

I learnt many watercolour painting techniques at the Botanical Art School of Melbourne and conducted workshops there. I have also enjoyed teaching painting in the Botanical gardens of Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Geelong, Bendigo and regional areas including Yass, Beechworth, Mt Macedon, Woodend and Castlemaine. I look forward to holding more workshops in the future.

I have contributed to the Government House Florilegium Book to present botanical treasures of the garden of Government House, Melbourne. The State Library of Victoria now holds the collection and is in keeping with the centuries-old European tradition.

My artworks were featured on the walls of the 2023 season of The Block, located in the Macedon Ranges. Contestants Rachel and Ryan chose my Autumn Persimmons (print #30) and Medlars.

You can purchase my artwork as one-off originals and prints; the designs have also been adapted into cards and tea towels. These are available to buy directly via email and stocked in-store by local businesses listed below, including Maggie Beers Farm Shop.

“Autumn is my favourite season, and it produces the best fruit to paint with its deep, glowing colours - quince, pomegranates, medlars, figs, hawthorn berries, and more. I never tire of painting these and love to share this enthusiasm with others during workshops and exhibitions.”
